Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary
This sanctuary is located in the rain shadow of the Western Ghats. This is the second home of the endangered giant grizzled squirrel of India. The locations of the sanctuary is very unique which offers advantage of watching exotic wildlife from the close quarters from the road without venturing deep in the forest. The Endangered Giant Grizzled Squirrel, Hanuman Langur, Elephant, Spotted Deer and Sambar.
Eravikulam National Park
Eravikulam National Park is located along the Western Ghats in Idukki district of Kerala. The Eravikulam Sanctuary was declared as a National Park in 1978 due to its fauna, flora, ecological and zoological significance. The important animals which can be seen here are Civet Cats, Panther, Wild Dog, Tigers, Sloth Bear, Nilgiri Langur, Nilgiri Tahr Wild Boar etc.
