I'm not sure why people book VILLAS IN ALICANTE? Could it be the diversity of the breathtaking landscapes or this city's turbulent, even dynamic past that left an imprint on the present town? It could be the amazing culture, historical heritage or architecture that is so impressive. You have to ask yourself does it really matter which one draws the people to this magnificent town. It could be, and more than likely is, a culmination of all of these factors making Alicante one of the most visited towns on the Costa Blanca.
When you first set out to find the perfect place to schedule your holiday you will soon find it extremely difficult to choose between the many that fits your requirements. Each village is unique within itself as it has its own story to tell and a past that will intrigue you. There are some seaside resorts that are rich in history, culture and heritage, Alicante is such a place. It is situated on the lovely Costa Blanca with its endless days of sunshine and pristine beaches that are kissed gently by the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. When you add all the attributes Alicante has together, you come up with the perfect location for your holiday.
When you arrive in Alicante, stop by the tourist information centre to pick up a pamphlet outlining the important places you need to visit. Most people come here for the sun, sea and sand found on its pristine beaches that have been awarded the prestigious European Blue flag for cleanness, safety and the provision of all required facilities. There is a lot more to this exciting city other than beach life: it's a great place for people who love culture and art. This is that place you thought was only to be found in your dreams. A good place to start your cultural search is in the Alicante theatres.
The main theatre of Alicante, known as El Teatro Principal, is situated in close proximity to the well known Rambla Nunez Mendez avenue. This neoclassical building, with its six doric columns, will impress you. When it first opened its doors in 1847 it was unique in all of Spain. The interior has a horseshoe shaped hall that gives it that feeling of spaciousness due to its curves. When you add this to the Italian decorations you end up with an amazing place where they host important cultural events such as ballet, theatre and opera shows each and every night.
The other theatre that is well worth a visit is the smaller Theatre of Amiches. Even though it is smaller than the Teatro Principal Theatre, it is ever so comfortable and exudes a feeling of privacy. This theatre is situated in the well known Estrella Square. This theatre, with its dark interior, immediately gives you a feeling of complete relaxation as soon as you enter this special place. You will find that this theatre is more cosmopolitan in its approach to the performances given here by both beginners and professionals alike than its competitor, the Main theatre.
After you are settled in your VILLAS IN ALICANTE, stop by the closest tourist information centre to pick up a pamphlet on the theatres and other places of interest. This way you can find out what performances are fourth coming so you can schedule your time around what you would like to see.
