Geoff Cross, Edinburgh Rugby's prop, is one of 12 players selected for the premier global rugby tournament for the first time and John Barclay, Glasgow Warriors' flanker has won 29 international caps since making his debut in 2007.
Both Geoff and John were in high spirits as they celebrated being selected for the premier global rugby tournament, for Geoff this is his first international call up, whilst this will be John's 29th cap. Both are very proud to be representing Scotland at the tournament in New Zealand.
Anthony Ireson, marketing director, Ford of Britain, said: "As we celebrate our centenary, it is only appropriate that Ford should continue our relationship with the game of rugby. We are delighted to extend our contract with Scottish Rugby and to provide these rugby stars with models from Ford's product range - the Ford Kuga and all-new Ford Focus."
Ford has been sponsoring Scottish Rugby since 2007 and recently announced that it will continue with this partnership for years to come. Scotland has more than 65 Ford dealerships and has sold nearly 12,000 cars during the first seven months of 2011.
Ford is celebrating 100 years of UK Ford production, 2011 is its centenary year and there are celebrations taking place throughout August. Ford is holding road shows at dealerships showcasing cars from its history and giving visitors a brief history lesson of Ford in the UK.
