Heralded by The Wall Street Journal as the ‘travel industry's equivalent to the Oscars', The
World Travel Awards aim to encourage excellence in every sector of global travel and

casting their votes for what they consider to be the very best travel, tourism and hospitality
products and services internationally.

celebrate excellence in all sectors of the industry, the World Travel Awards is recognised
and respected worldwide as the definitive hallmark of excellence. Summing up the
philosophy behind the WTA search for excellence, Mr Cooke said: "It's about selecting the
exceptional from the also-rans, the superstars from the plodders; whose track records are
poured over by their peers worldwide, who wish that even a sprinkle of this quantifiable
magic would rub off on them, their products and employees."
