When it comes to family holidays there are so many things you try to consider and often just choosing a destination can be an arduous task! So here's the first of our 'Family Holiday Hotspots' blogs that will hopefully help you choose the best location for your next family holiday.
Dubai is not just an adults playground, there's so much to do for the little ones too… with numerous waterparks, theme parks, and educational centres scattered all over the city they will think they are the luckiest children in the world! And of course they would be very lucky to go to Dubai, it's such an amazing city that continues to grow and attract tourists at an impressive rate.
So what can the kids do while on your family holiday in Dubai? For starters, there are the two exceptional waterparks; Aquaventure at Atlantis The Palm and the Wild Wadi water park at Jumeirah Beach have enough water slides, water coasters and wave pools to keep you and the kids busy for days! Rides such as The Leap of Faith and Jumeirah Sceirah are both over 27 metres tall so there's plenty of daring fun for teenagers and adults as well as the little ones. Also at Atlantis The Palm you can swim with Dolphins at Dolphin Bay and visit the underwater world of The Lost Chambers.
As the busiest UAE Emirate, it isn't surprising that Universal Studios are opening a high-adventure theme park in Dubai very soon. Work has already started on the project and Universal Studios are planning to include rides such as Flight of the Roc, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure and Revenge of the Mummy. Here children will be in awe of the towering heights and life-like effects of the rides and attractions from all-time classic films.
Until the Universal Studios theme park opens, families can enjoy the rollercoasters, rides and water-rides at the Wonderland Theme & Water Park. Spanning over 22 acres and ideally located in the lovely Dubai Creek area, this theme park is a great family fun-filled day out. You're guaranteed to come away with lots of memories of your little ones having the time of their life, and let's face it, that's one of the reasons we save up all year and splash out on a family holiday.
No doubt you'll want to splash out on a shopping trip while in Dubai and with so many lavish malls it'd be hard to resist. A trip to the mall can also be a great family day out as many of the Dubai malls have areas to keep the kid's entertained. Magic Planet at Deira City Mall has everything from computer games, a cinema, bowling alley, miniature golf and carousel rides. Best of all, the kids are supervised by staff so the adults can enjoy the designer shops and boutiques.
So with all this in mind I would defintely recommend Dubai holidays to families. With a reasonable flight time of 7 hours from the UK, numerous five star hotels that cater very well for children and so many activities and attractions to visit you might well find yourself going back again and again.
