For your COSTA DEL SOL HOLIDAYS Nerja is a resort located in the province of Malaga on the Costa del Sol. It is a beautiful town that is facing a spectacular mountain range. This city was once a fishing village but was redesigned to take advantage of tourists visiting this part of Spain.

Nerja is home to several beaches but they are not the typical yellow sandy beaches that you expect to see in Spain: they tend to have a mixture of pebbles and sand. But if you want to go to a beach in Nerja try Playazo beach, the longest beach in the city and ideal for sunbathing or a pleasant walk. There are many things to see while wandering around the Nerja area. If you go down to Burriana beach you can find the "Balcon de Europa", a promenade that offers spectacular views of the surrounding area. Below the promenade is a large restaurant overlooking the sea in the distance and set against the backdrop of the mountains. This is one of the most famous sites around Nerja.

Another interesting sight in this resort is the Church of El Salvador, which was built in 1600. You can clearly see the influence of Baroque and Moorish architecture there. The most famous attraction is probably of Nerja caves which are not too far from the centre of the city. The caves are more than 5 million years old and have several large chambers which house many stalactites and stalagmites. You can also see some prehistoric wall paintings that are over 20,000 years old. You want to make sure you take your camera with you so you can record this once in a lifetime experience. One cave has been transformed into a concert hall; if you are visiting in July you can enjoy flamenco music festival being held here while on your COSTA DEL SOL HOLIDAYS. As you can see, there are a lot of things in Nerja so maybe you should make a visit.
