Nagpur : Centre of India

Nagpur is a city in the central India. This is in Maharashtra state. This city is also known as "Orange city". This city is practically geographical centre of India. Zero milestone of India exist in this city.

About this city :
Nagpur was founded by Bhakt Buland(A Gond prince of the kingdom of Deogad, which is in the Chhindwara District). Chand Sultan(Sucessor of Bhakti Buland). In 1861, this city became the capital of Central Provinces. In 1960, the Marathi majority Vidarbha region was merged in Maharashtra. Also, Nagpur was also designated as second capital of Maharashtra.

1. Ambazari
Ambazari lake spreads over 15.4 Square KM. This place opens from 6 AM to 8 PM. This places is very good for Morning nd evening walk. Main attraction is "Musical Fountain", which operates after 7 PM.

2. Telangkhedi Lake and Garden
This lake is one of the attraction in the city. This lake contains a very popular temple. This is very verdant and peaceful area.

3. Sitabuldi Fort
This fort was built in 1857 by a British officer. This fort is one of the oldest fort in Nagpur. This place is open for public only on Republic day and Independence Day.  

4. Raman Science Centre
This place is very good for Children. This is situated opposite Gandhi Sagar. This place has various good working science models, which is well capable of demonstrating Physics.

5. Museum
This museum is the only museum in Nagpur, which is situated in Civil Lines.  It contains a lot of historical artefacts, which worth a look.

6. Seminary Hills
This place has been named after seminary of St. Charles. Very Good for morning or, evening walk. The Deer Park is especially popular with kids and sports.  

7. Waki Woods
Wakin woods is situated around 30 km from city on saoner road, near waki Dargah. Here, there are various activities are allowed, like boating, archery, bird watching, riding etc.  

8. Maharajbagh
One of the oldest attraction in Nagpur. This place is very good for outing as this is very green and pleasant place.
