Maldives Holidays: Two new additions to choose from

I have two interesting new options for those planning to visit the Maldives.

One of Asia's most well thought of and indeed, leading hotel groups Dusit Thani will soon be opening their first resort on the pristine Mudhdhoo Island which forms part of the Baa Atoll collection.

Located to the northwest of Malé, this exquisite 5* resort scheduled to open in mid December this year will feature 46 Beach Villas; two Beach Houses; 30 Water Villas; 20 Ocean Villas and two Ocean Houses. So, if you happen to be considering a Maldives Holiday you'll find this place has some enticing introductory rates especially during its 'soft opening'.

The exhaustive list of facilities includes a 50-metre swimming pool, ( which i hear is the largest in the Maldives) complete with pool bar; over-water and grill restaurants, tree house spa, tennis courts, diving centre and extensive water based pursuits in and around the resort. It is within 45 minutes travelling time via sea plane from Malé and around 10 minutes by speedboat from the new domestic airport.

Mr Chanin Donavanik, is the Chief Executive Officer of Dusit International and commented "This new project is our first foray into the Maldives, which is arguably one of the most beautiful destinations on earth. This is a very exciting addition to our growing portfolio and represents a great milestone for the Dusit brand. Dusit Thani will combine the rich flavour of Thai hospitality with the stunning tropical beauty of the Maldives."

Wise wordsm, and ones echoed by Mr Ahmed Umar Maniku, Chairman and Managing Director of Coastline Hotels & Resorts Pte. Ltd., Maldives and developer of Mudhdhoo Island Resort who added, "Coastline is extremely pleased with the sale of Mudhdhoo Island Resort to such a highly respected and established brand such as Dusit International. We believe Dusit will bring not only a sizeable financial investment into the Maldives but will add significant value to the training and development of Maldivians through its outstanding hospitality training schools and colleges."

Something else significant to tell you about is the all new Ocean Pearl Water Villas at Jumeirah Dhevanafushi

The Ocean Pearls make up the luxury accommodations on Jumeirah Dhevanafushi's Exclusive Private Island Retreat and comprise of a unique cluster of 16 ultra luxurious above-the-water villas. It's fair to say that theyare the island's piece de resistance.

Cast away from the main island by 800 metres of unspoilt coral reef they act as a calm oasis set in the heart of the Indian Ocean. The Ocean Pearls are completely self sufficient with own pier, reception, concierge, private butlers, spa and deluxe restaurants.

While still a part of the main island, this deluxe development displays its own distinctive identity and charm. The colours and design of the resort evoke the sensuality of the sea and the romance of the Maldives. Strong nautical references are also prevalent throughout The Ocean Pearls.

The design theme runs into the Talise Spa, where an ambient interior design aims to capture the romance of being underwater through the use of calming colours and patterns.

Choices choices!
