When you have a chance to visit the town of Jinja you will never want to look back on any other country with a rich historical back ground. After knowing that Jinja is the adventure capital for Europeans   interested in white water rafting you will definitely run to enjoy this thrilling activity where Prince Phillip secretly came for white water rafting .This place is known for the visits of the British monarch.

The culture sites of which include the the huge rock from which Jinja derived its name, the Karina hill which was an administrative seat of kakungulu,a, a chief appointed by the colonialists to administer eastern Uganda. On the outskirts of Jinja there is another place called mpumudde, a place where the king of bunyoro, Kabalega, uttered his last word "mpumwire"meaning I have rested, as he died on his way from exile. Its should also not be forgotten that Kabalega was recently named hero for resisting colonial rule. For those of us interested in tracing the routes used by the early Explorers and missionaries.
