You will find it difficult to make a snowball most of the time the snow is that dry.
Niseko is made up of 4 resorts: Annapuri, Higashiyama, Hanazono and Hirafu, these areas offer spectacular skiing and snowboarding at all levels. Wide groomed runs or off-piste with open powder bowls, drops, chutes and fields of trees, there is something to satisfy everyone's wishes.

The four person high speed Hirafu Gondola lifts you 500 vertical feet to the mid station of the Hirafu ski area in under ten minutes. Niseko has one of the largest ski areas in Japan to ski at night, providing you plenty of terrain and runs to explore under lights - a great experience. Night temperatures drop only slightly from those during the day so there are no excuses to get out there.
Most lift lines do not exist apart from the public holiday when you can enjoy the company of the local skiers and snowboarders on the mountain, keep a close eye on them and you might find some secret local lines that you would not have believed possible as close to a groomed run. Park riders are taken into account with three terrain parks that offer table tops, rails, spines and half pipes.
Japanese cuisine is another great reason to visit Niseko, especially the fresh local seafood in Hirafu and Kutchan. Be adventures and try a few dishes that you would not normally experience in your home country.
At the end of a glorious day on the mountain, try one of the local hot springs, also known as onsens. Your muscles will thank you for the revitalisation and new life you have given them the next day you are exploring Niseko United Ski Resort.
The end of a busy day why not relax in one of the 16 local hot springs, known locally as onsens, and then head out to celebrate or enjoy selecting from one of the many bars and restaurants in Hirafu.
