New Years Eve Dance Washington DC Day Memories

Today, we went to a New Years Eve Dance Washington DC to celebrate my beautiful little son's six month birthday!  Time has flown by so quickly since he was born; I am still trying to get used to the fact that he is almost halfway to one year old.  I took so many pictures of him today.  He has changed so much in the past six months, so I just know I will want to remember what he looks like now in six more!

The first part of this New Years Eve Dance morning did not start off so great when Chad decided to wake up an hour early with a runny nose and cough.  As if me not getting but five hours of sleep was not enough, I knew the doctor's office was closed, so I had to take him to the emergency room.  We waited there for three hours just to be told that he was just suffering from an allergy attack, and there was nothing they could do beyond saline nose drops.

When we finally got back home, I was ready to just lay down for a nap, but there was a long day ahead of us.  The New Years Eve Dance Washington DC was only a few hours away-- we had to get dressed.  The plan was to put the boy's tuxedo on him, drive to the venue, check in, and eat lunch at the restaurant next door before it started.

Then, of course, my wonderful son spit up all over the front of his black jacket!  Needless to say, the nice lunch at a fancy restaurant turned into a hot dog while waiting at the dry cleaners.  If I had not paid so much for the New Years Gala tickets, I probably would have just gone to the restaurant and then home.

At the end of the day, we got some great pictures to remember the day.  Once we got past the pre New Years Eve Dance Washington DC drama, we ended up having a great time.  It will definitely be a six month birthday to remember!
