Is it New Years DC Yet?

Is it New Years DC Yet? That question has been rolling through my mind incessantly-- much like the way a child asks, "Are we there yet?" from the backseat of the car during a long road trip on the way to a Disney vacation destination.

You see, I have been planning and saving for this New Years Eve in DC getaway for two years now. The first year and a half was spent researching (the best place to go, the best way to get there, what to do once I am there, where to stay, how long to stay, etc). Once I had all of the details worked out and every thing was paid for, I had 6 months left to wait.

My plane to Washington D.C. leaves from Los Angeles International airport on Friday, December 30th, 2011; I will arrive not long before dinner time. I will take a taxi from the airport to the Hilton that I will be staying at. After I eat dinner at the Bobby Flay Restaurant which is only a block from the hotel, I will take another taxi to the Professionals in the City New Years DC Speed Dating Event at K-street Lounge. My first night in DC will be wonderful!

Saturday morning, I plan to eat breakfast and shop for a dress and shoes at Tyson's Corner Mall before going to the Hilton Day Spa & Salon. After a full-body massage, I will have lunch and get my hair and nails done. Then, I will go to my hotel room, get dressed, and call a cab to pick me up. The Professionals in the City d.c. new years eve Dinner & Dance Gala starts at 5pm, so I will spend the rest of the night eating, drinking, and partying my hat off.

I will most likely be sleeping in on New Years DC morning. I have tickets for a 2pm-4pm Pros in the City Speed Dating and Wine Tasting event. Hopefully, I will meet someone to take to dinner and maybe even my hotel room to stay the night.

If someone stays the night with me, I will invite them to join me for my new years dc tour of the capitol city Monday. Either way, I will still go before I have to be on my 4pm flight back home.

Now you know why I am so looking forward to my $5,000 New Years DC vacation. I have everything planned right on down to where I will be eating breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert each day that I am there!
