Go wild at the Out Of Africa Wildlife park. See exotic birds, lions and rhinoceros. Take the safari tour and feed giraffes and camels. Watch the live animal shows and see tigers jump into the water to play with beach balls and toys. Touch a giant snake or see how lions and tigers attack their food. You can even feed a tiger (through a fence of course!) Out Of Africa is a day of fun that the whole family will enjoy.
If you're feeling lucky, why not head over to the Cliff Castle Casino. Play some penny slots or poker, or perhaps take in a game of bowling while you're there. There are restaurants if you've worked up an appetite, and also an arcade for the non-gamblers. Babysitting is also available.
In July, Camp Verde hosts an annual corn festival, in October Camp Verde Days. February is the pecan, wine and antiques festival, and June is when the Crawdad festival takes place.
Camp Verde is also the home of the world's largest kokopelli. A kokopelli is a fertility deity. This is usually presented as a humpbacked flute player with feathers on his head. The kokopelli presides over childbirth and agriculture, but also represents the spirit of music.
